This site allows you to RENEW a current registration online by paying your local excise tax, state motor vehicle registration fee, and a small fee for this online service. New registrations or registrations that have been expired more than 7 months require visiting your municipal office to pay excise tax.

A printer, if you wish to print a copy of your temporary registration
Hunting & Fishing Licenses

Licensee Personal information (name, date of birth, contact information)
Hunter Safety or Previous Hunting license number for individuals purchasing a hunting license
Credit or Debit Card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover)

Reserve Your Plate

How this impacts you:
If you choose not to reserve your existing plate number, you will receive a new plate with a number issued by the BMV or your local Municipality. The "No Tree" plate design is only available for the PC class code.

Maine residents renewing an ATV or snowmobile registration. New registrations must be done through a registration agent or the IF&W main office in Augusta.
Non-residents may register ATVs and snowmobiles online. Non-residents may do both renewal and new registrations online.

Fire Permits

Permits are only valid when the daily fire danger rating is low or moderate.
You will need : The physical address where the burn will occur and material being burned and a printed copy of the permit, or the ability to show it on a mobile device.
